I'm Amer Ahmed, a backend architect and software consultant based in Hyderabad, India. I've spent nearly two decades building production software for the remittance and financial technology industry — not studying it, building it.
My career started in Dubai, where I worked on enterprise FX and money transfer platforms for companies serving international corridors across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. I learned the domain from the ground up — the business logic, the compliance constraints, the integration complexity, and the failure modes that only appear in production.
Most recently I led the full backend architecture of a multi-brand international remittance platform — migrating a legacy Oracle system to a modern NestJS + MySQL SaaS serving EU, US, UAE, and Canada markets. That project covered 115+ database tables, full KYC/AML compliance, real-time FX, HashiCorp Vault, RabbitMQ, and third-party payment network integrations.
